We began camp at close to 100 degrees on Sunday! We had a plethora of fun activities planned to help campers get acquainted, and as I approached the dining tent to speak with campers for the very first time,  they were all looking at me with sweat pouring down their forehead. We made some quick adjustments to the schedule. We moved straight into our swim testing to make sure everyone could tread water. We spent the rest of the hot afternoon in the pool. Way better!
At about 6:30 a warm breeze started blowing and by 7pm we saw some great lightening! The temperatures were again pleasant and we resumed our plans of name learning games around the camp fire.  After dinner we all made S'mores and then campers went to pick out their bunks.  The night went smoothly, the dorm was nice and cool, and there were giggles and whispering until way past bed time.
