This morning the girls woke up to the amazing smell of Chef Flo's home made Banana Pancakes. Accompanied by sliced apples and Hickory Bacon, the whole camp smelled wonderful!
But campers didn't spend much time in the dining tent. They were too excited to ride! We all broke up into groups at 8:30 and were riding by 9am. Lessons ended at 12pm, and all went very well. The arena was nice and damp, so the dust was low. Riders seemed matched very well with their horses, too. The heat wasn't too intense, and there were lots of smiles around the camp.

After lessons, all campers headed up for lunch, which was a delicious Caesar salad with fresh parmesan and large pieces of chicken breast, all tossed in organic romaine. Yum!

Campers are swimming as I write this, and instructors are busy preparing afternoon lessons. Danielle, our certified LIfeguard, is teaching the girls different swim strokes along with Natalie. They plan to have a mock meet by the end of the week.
This afternoon, the campers will be learning:

Mane Braiding, Show Prep
Dressage Tests w/ Ricarda
Polocross with Abbey
Mounting bareback, riding bareback w/Melony
How to walk a jump course with Becca
Different types of feed w/ Bree
Body Language & free lunging w/ Tiffany

Wow! I can't wait!

Tonight we are watching a movie in the outdoor theatre, and should (should!) be in bed by 10pm.
